Are You Ready to Race?
If you are serious about wanting to boat race, please join Marine Racing Club at one of our sanctioned Racing Schools held throughout the racing season. Attending a Racing School gives you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a real race boat, under real testing and real racing conditions. We begin with an on-shore classroom instructional period where you learn racing safety, the fundamentals of a racing rig, the starting clock, flags, and signals. Afterward, you put what you learned into practice on the water. We provide all of the necessary equipment (boat, engine, propeller, helmet, safety gear, gas, oil, a weekend membership in the American Power Boat Association (APBA), and a one-year membership in Marine Racing Club). Next, you take the race rig out for some test laps on a closed course. Finally, you progress to your Novice Race where you compete against your classmates and various other seasoned boat racers in a real race!
